Hans Haase has been an artist for nearly seventy years. Throughout that time his work has reflected numerous styles and mediums. Lately his work consists mostly of landscape and seascape oil paintings.
Born in 1944 in Essen, Germany, during an allied bombing raid. The hospital was hit by bombs and the surgeon in charge was killed. A severely injured nurse completed the delivery. Understandably, he does not remember the aforementioned, nor the following 4 days spent in a nearby underground shelter.
Hans's earliest memories consist of a loving atmosphere within his father's 3rd floor studio. There were huge skylights, easels and all - a scene out of the opera, "La Boheme" with artists at work. Both of his parents were artistically involved - visual art, music and ballet.
He has a passion for sun, water, earth, music and of course, peace and beauty -- with a strong interest in photography, classical music and nature.
Hans found his avenue to communicate in teaching. It was destined to happen, because he loved learning and discovery. He always had great enthusiasm for being alive! He says: "Life is a gift! Health is our blessing. An enthusiasm for truth and beauty should be shared. Quality and honesty go hand-in-hand. We should all be positive and loving ambassadors of our planet (our FINITE environment)!"
